Our Travel Specialists

The Share Africa team exists of a great mix of local and international people who all share the same passion for responsible travel and Africa. We have good knowledge of the tourism industry and are experienced in making holidays a true African experience that benefits the destination at the same time.

Our team is considered to be a family and by sharing our values and virtues do we learn more about different cultures every day. One of the highlights of our weeks are our cultural Fridays on which we share knowledge, explore the world and share our passion for food by preparing cultural lunches. We speak 5 different languages; English, Afrikaans, Dutch, German, French and Xhosa and love to help you further in the language of your preference.

Let us quickly introduce you to our team:

Anne van der Tuuk

Since I first moved to South Africa, I am Dutch, I have been impressed by the great diversity the country has to offer. My love for pure South Africa still grows by the day and I am very happy that we get the opportunity to share this with you; our traveler. Responsible Tourism comes from within and for me there is no greater gift to South Africa than to let tourism benefit the destination as a whole; the nature, it’s people and the economy. My favorite product that we offer is the Bo Kaap Cooking Experience, where you not only learn more about the colorful area but also learn how to cook my favorite traditional meal; a Cape Malay curry.

I speak English and Dutch.

Tinus Steyn

My name is Tinus, and I recently joined Abang Africa in their Bo-Kaap office. I grew up next to the Kruger National Park and attended primary school at Skukuza, in the park. It’s therefore not unusual that the tourism industry would have made an impression on me from an early age. I have around 7 years’ experience in the industry, in various capacities. You name it, and I’ve done it! I started as a freelance tour guide, accompanying French speaking guests through South Africa. Then I joined a well-known DMC in Johannesburg, where I gained experience in positions as varied as database maintenance, FITs, product development and incentives. I had always dreamed of living in Cape Town, which is why I exchanged the frenetic lifestyle and energy of Johannesburg for the beauty and tranquillity of the Cape. I’m excited to be part of the Abang Africa team, and I’m looking forward to making a contribution towards making travel more fair and more sustainable.

I speak English, Afrikaans and French.

My name is Donna van Rosmalen and I am from the Netherlands. I study Tourism and Recreation Management in the Netherlands, and I have just arrived in Cape Town for my internship. I am very excited about working at Share Africa Travel. Even though I have only been here since a couple of days, I have already fallen in love with this country. The people are really friendly and open; the city itself has an amazing vibe. Besides this I felt attracted to South Africa because of its pure tourism.
