Fairtrade Soweto Tour

This tour will give you the opportunity to experience the Soweto Township in its purest. The tour will start with a glimpse of Baragwanath Hospital en route to Kliptown where the Freedom Charted was adopted in 1955. We will visit the Hector Pietersen Museum and the Vilakazo precinct home 2 former Nobel Peace Prize Winners – Bishop Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela. Visit one of the many projects that find place in and around Soweto. Thereafter we hop on our bicycles to explore the hidden corners of the township.

Learn Tsotsi Taal (a language spoken by the locals), visit a day care centre and a hostel to experience the effects of apartheid. Visit a local home and experience the vibe in Meadowlands.
